The Arkansas Teenage Rodeo Association was established over 10 years ago for the youth of Arkansas. Over 137 young cowboys and cowgirls from the ages of 3 to 19 compete against peers enjoying the fun and friendly competitive atmosphere of rodeo. The rodeo season runs from October 1st to the finals. We are kicking off the 2013 rodeo season in March and all the rodeos will be in Conway, Arkansas at the Faulkner County Saddle Club Arena behind the Don Owen Sports Complex off of Highway 65. To be able to compete for end of the year prizes you must be a member and have competed in 50% of the rodeos. Our membership has grown and we encourage every young person to be involved and join us for a fun packed 2013 rodeo season. |

I hope the New Year has been good to everyone so far! As everyone knows the 1st rodeo of the 2013 Season is about to be here on Sunday, March 3rd at 10:00am in Conway. I would like to thank all my fellow board members on an awesome job that they have done to get this season off and running. With our 1st rodeo just a couple of days away everyone is anxious to get it behind us and see if our planning has paid off. I am sure there might be a few glitches here and there but with this team we will succeed. We might have to do some changing but we will make it work.
A very Special Thank You to Jerry Lynn for his time spent on creating our new website ATRARODEO.com. Doesn’t it look fabulous? So if you need any type of designer work done I highly recommend that you hire him for your services because you will not be disappointed.
Did I mention the 12 Days of Christmas Raffle? OMG, thank you Steven Boyd for coming up with such a great idea and Associated Farmer’s Coop in Conway for supplying us with such great deals. ATRA was able to put over $5000.00 in the bank.
We do have a membership meeting at 9:00am Sunday morning so please make plans to attend. On the agenda we have a rule change that we need to bring to your attention (nothing major), sponsorship, trailer raffle, and the creation of a junior board. So those of you who want to become a Junior Board Member get your speeches ready.
