Hello again ATRA members,
It is now January and the Board and myself are looking forward to kicking off our new season on February 26, 2012. I want to take a few minutes to please encourage you to look over the schedule and make note of the changes listed below the schedule. The Board has worked very diligently in the off season so that the new season for ATRA will be better than ever.
Please remember to have patience and understanding at the first rodeo. After that, we should have the usual first rodeo kinks worked through. I am always looking for suggestions from you the members on ways to improve the rodeos and the association as a whole. Contact me anytime, I will be glad to assist you if I can.
The pre-entry system for the rodeos has changed a bit this year. It will take some adjusting to but I think it will work out for the best. I will work with you if you enter a rodeo and then see that you can't attend, notify the secretary at least 48 hours prior to the rodeo and we will be able to role your entries to the next rodeo.
There will be a membership meeting at the first rodeo at 9:30am to address changes that have been made by the board. Please attend this meeting. That way if any member or parent has questions, the board can answer them at that time.
I am so excited about this season. I can't wait to see all of you there.

Dear ATRA Members,
Hello and thank you for electing me as the 2012 ATRA President. I love serving on this board and looking out for all of the ATRA rodeo kids.
I just want to take a few minutes to inform you, the members, of what's been happening during the ATRA off-season. Planning is well underway for the 2012 season. This looks to be a promising year.
There are lots of activities and fundraisers being discussed with minimal time, effort, and stress added to you, the members. I do look forward to each and every one of you pitching in to do your part. Please remember it takes everyone pulling together to put on these rodeos and be the glue that holds this association together.
I want this to be a fun year filled with lots of volunteerism, encouragement and hard work. Please understand that there will be a few changes this year. The board and myself have spent long hours trying to make decisions that will both improve the association, as well as benefit the kids. First and foremost, our thoughts are for our kids and we as adults need to remember this association is designed and revolves around them! I want everyone to feel welcome and to be included in what we call our "Rodeo Family."
As President, I will be available to you, the members. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact me by phone or email. If I can't help you, I will work together with the other board members to do so at the best of our ability. I am looking forward to this year, but do want to take a moment and say "THANK YOU" to Tate Moore and the 2011 ATRA Board. They did a great job last year!
I also want to take this time to say congratulations on the success of the fall benefit roping at Rosebud. A big thank you goes out to Clay & Maggie Weddle, Doug & Jennifer Woods, Darryl Belote, Rick & Kim Bradway and all the other folks that helped make that event the great success it was. From my standpoint, it was a day of fun, food & roping, oh, and with a little work mixed in!
Please keep checking the website often over the next couple of months, there will be lots of new information posted in regard to the upcoming season. Again, thank you for this opportunity and lets make 2012 one of the best years ever!
